Easley, SC – Mr. Ronald Keith Watkins, age 55, passed away on December 4, 2021. He was born in Dunedin, Florida and raised in Palm Harbor, Florida by Charles Watkins and the late Sarah Frances Royston.
Surviving is a son Brian Watkins of Easley, South Carolina and a daughter Lori Kuipers from Demorest, Georgia. Also surviving is one grandson Draven Lee Pearson of Bryson City, North Carolina and a brother Ricky Watkins of Clearwater, Florida.
Mr. Watkins was predeceased by an infant son Michael Keith Watkins.
Mr. Watkins was loved by his family. He enjoyed fast cars, fast driving and drag racing. If it had tires and wheels he was all in. He enjoyed four wheelers, dirtbikes and anything motorcross. Mr. Watkins loved his cats and along with anything cars, he loved fishing for whatever would bite and camping. Mr. Watkins was known as the "Florida Boy" on the CB radio. His career was spent driving trucks.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina 29671 with a visitation Thursday night December 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2432 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, South Carolina.
