Roger Ray Hayes

Roger was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Virgil Thomas and Gloria Ann Hayes. He was a member of Secona Baptist Church. Roger retired from Spinx as a District Supervisor and later worked at the North Bend Campground in Virginia. He had a strong work ethic which he instilled in his family. He enjoyed camping but more than anything loved spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Annette Hayes; daughters: Angela Wood (Jeff), Thelma Vandergriff, Angela Timm (Bob); grandchildren: Joshua Wood (Heather), Tyler Vandergriff (Jackie), Julie Larmer (Cody), Stephen Vandergriff, Austin Timm (Tarin); Great-grandchildren: Cadence, Addalynn, Blaze, Emmalynn, Delilah, Raelynn, SJ, Lincoln, Xander, Solomon, Sawyer, Kameron, and Calloway; brothers: Jerry Hayes (Diane), Virgil Hayes Jr.; and sister: Charlotte Pittman.

A visitation for Roger will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, South Carolina 29671, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
