Mr. Odell James Smith

Odell was born on January 7, 1934 in Seneca, South Carolina to the late James "Doc" and Gertrude Capps Smith. He served in the Army in the Armored Calvary Unit Fort Knox Kentucky. Mr. Smith enjoyed listening to music and fishing. He loved to sit on his porch, watch the wildlife, and feed the birds and squirrels that would visit him.

Mr. Smith is survived by four sons: Jim Smith (Tania) of Rosenberg, Texas, Ricky Smith of Pelzer, Keith Smith (Lorrie) of Liberty, and Jeff Smith of Liberty; one daughter: Kim Monroe (Dwayne) of Piedmont; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and his fur-baby Moses.

In addition to his parents, Odell is preceded in death by his loving wife: Edith Moore Smith; and two sons: Tony Smith and Eric Smith.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Pelzer Church of God. 203 Highway 20 North, Pelzer, SC 29669. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service.
