Born in Pickens, she was the daughter of the late Aldine and Olin Brown. Nancy was a former member of Griffin Baptist Church where she loved teaching Sunday School. She later became a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she also taught Sunday School and loved to sing in the choir.
As an administrator at DHEC in Greenville, she showed her strong work ethic and passion for her career, as she was always dedicated and dependable. She was an avid reader and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Edna Bowers (Randy); and her son Olin Reece (Laura); granddaughter Kahlea Reece and grandson Kasper Reece; brothers William Brown, James Brown, Edgar Brown; sisters Martha Crowe, Susan Brown, Mary Nix and Frances Hart. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 60 years Richard Reece; her two brothers, Robert and Samuel Brown.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Grace United Methodist Church, 309 E Cedar Rock St, Pickens, South Carolina 29671, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, "The Faith We Sing" Hymnal fund or to Rainey Hospice House.
