Mike was born on October 3, 1960 in Greenwood, South Carolina to Melvin Jerome Burkett and the late Bobbie Linda Hatcher . Mike enjoyed riding motorcycles, mechanics, welding, racing and fishing. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 2219 Chapter 1807.
In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Amanda Wood Burkett; one son: Tedd Sundling Jr. (Deborah) of Liberty; two daughters: Sierra Wood of Easley, and Brooklynne Wood of Easley; two grandchildren: Daniel Chase Black and Tristen Ciera Sundling; two sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM on Tuesday, September 27 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 26 from 5PM until 7PM.
