Linda Cantrell

Mrs. Linda Cassell Cantrell, 69, wife of the late W.A. “Dub” Cantrell, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Cannon Memorial Hospital. Born in Pickens, SC a daughter of the late Vera Powell Cassell and Ivy Valley “I.V.” Cassell. Mrs. Cantrell retired from driving a special needs bus for the School District of Pickens County. She was a member of Mtn. Grove Baptist Church. Surviving, are a daughter, Roslyn Holcombe and husband Chris. Two sons: Reggie Cantrell and wife Jennifer and Richard Cantrell and wife, Stacy. Three granddaughters: Abby Holcombe Baker, Maggy Holcombe, and Jessa Cantrell. Also, survived by a sister Reneé Cassell Stewart and brother Stanley Cassell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cantrell is also predeceased by her husband, W.A. “Dub” Cantrell. Mrs. Cantrell has fought breast cancer for the past 25 years with great resilience, and was a woman of deep faith. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Cantrell include a visitation at Dillard Funeral Home Friday, May 24th from 6:00 – 8:00pm and funeral services at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Pickens Saturday at 3:00pm with a burial to follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
