Mrs. Sewell was born on March 24,1939, to the late Ernest and Etrulia Gambrell. She attended Crosswell Baptist Church and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Mrs. Sewell loved her Lord, her family, reading mysteries, flowers, birds, and porch sitting. She was retired from Judson Mill.
Mrs. Sewell is survived by two children: her daughter Suzy Cannon (Eddy) and her son Johnny Sewell (Donna); five grandsons: Andy Rogers (Katie), Eric Sewell (Caroline), Benji Rogers (Becca), Chris Sewell (Ginger), and Casey Rogers (Kristen) and fourteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sewell was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold; and her two brothers: James Gambrell and Rev. Mickey Gambrell.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Monday June 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held prior to the service in the Garden Room, from 1:45 to 2:45 PM.
Mrs. Sewell will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC, following the service in the chapel.
