Juanita Duncan Childs

Juanita Duncan Childs Easley, South Carolina Juanita Duncan Childs, age 81, wife of the late Jesse Howard Childs went to be with the Lord Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Sterling House in Central. Mrs. Childs was born in Pickens County a daughter of the late William Ernest Duncan (Tom) and Mittie Kay Stewart. Mrs. Childs was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She loved her family and was an avid Gardener. The family would like to thank the employees of Sterling House Assisting Living and Providence Care Hospice, especially Angel Surrett, for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother. Survivors include one daughter; Sharon Dodd and husband Larry of Liberty, one son; Steve Childs of Anderson, two sisters; Frances Mahaffey of Liberty, Louis Galloway of Westminster, SC, three brothers; Junior Duncan of Six Mile, Virgil Duncan of Six Mile, Calvin Duncan and wife Joyce of Easley, two granddaughters,; Shala Jessica Dodd of Liberty, Kayce Lucretia Dodd of Liberty. Mrs. Childs was predeceased by two sisters; Evelyn Thomas, Madge Cooper and one brother Doyle Duncan. Visitation will be Friday October 03, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Dillard Funeral Home with Graveside service to follow at 11:00am in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. Memorials may be made to Sterling House Central, 131 Vickery Drive, Central, SC 29630, Providence Care Hospice, 202 Wall Street, Piedmont, SC 29673 or Concord Baptist Church, 723 Concord Church Rd, Pickens SC 29671 The family will be at their respective homes.
