Chuck was born in Easley, SC on November 24, 1964 to Brenda Parker Garrett of Easley and the late Charles Donald "Donnie" Garrett. He retired from Danfoss as a quality control technician after 30 years, and was known as a good hearted, caring man, who was the life of the party, and could always light up any room that he walked into. Chuck was a loving father, but his grandson meant the world to him and was proud to be his "papa". He loved racing, and could be found many nights driving the number 09 car at Greenville Pickens Speedway. Chuck also had a caring heart for everyone in this world, and enjoyed taking his special friends to Clemson Football games for many years, as well as driving the Shine Bus for Pickens County. He loved all college football, but Clemson was his favorite team, and you could find him on any Saturday in the fall cheering on his Tigers. He will be greatly missed by his family, who referred to him as the "glue who held us together".
In addition to his mother, Chuck is survived by his daughter: Lindsey Garrett of Liberty; a grandson: Levi Garrett of Liberty; a brother: Andy Garrett (Candy) of Easley; a sister: Melanie Garrett (Punk), of Taft, Tennessee; a niece: Amber Garrett of Easley; and a nephew: Austin Aker (Theresa) of Huntsville, Alabama. He is also survived by his three aunts: Melba Hardway (Lee) of Crestview, Florida, Becky Kelley (Skip) of Georgia, and Brenda Kelley (Bill) of Utah; an uncle: Max Parker (Betty) of Orville, California; and numerous cousins and extended family.
