Jimmy was the son of the late Grady and Ilene Dodgens Bowen. Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a radio man and was a retired employee of Duke Energy, local operations. He enjoyed all sports and HAM Radio (Ke4oFT).
Survivors include his companion Donna Davis, two brothers, Grady Gene Bowen (Nina) of Comfort, Texas and Connie Mack Bowen (Joan) of Pickens, two special friends, Sharon and Tonya and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday July 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens with the Reverend Jamie Duncan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to a charity of your choice in honor of Jimmy.
