Janie Lucille Chastain

Born on June 11, 1929, in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar N. and Rebecca Powell Chastain. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Leander Hudson and brother-in-law James Hudson, Minnie Lee Brooks and brother-in-law Alf Brooks, Elizabeth Edwards and two brothers, Jake Chastain and Walter Boone Chastain. She was a member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Pickens, SC.

Surviving are her brother, Oscar N. Chastain, Jr. and his wife Phyllis, two sisters-in-law, Shirley Chastain and Helen Chastain, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday June 17, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
