Janet D. Alexander Easley – Janet Dalton Alexander, 69, wife of Carlton E. Alexander, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016. Janet was born in Arlington, VA a daughter of the late Jesse Corbin and Pauline Susan Gill Dalton. She was retired from the Pickens County Board of Special Needs where she served as an instructor. She was an active member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church in Easley where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and worked in the nursery. Survivors include her husband, Carlton of the home, son, Carlton Edmond Alexander, Jr. of the home, and daughters, Susan Alexander Smith (Kevin) of Taylorsville, KY and Jennifer Alexander White (Patrick) of Quarryville, PA. Also surviving is a grandchild reared in the home, Justin Alexander (Rachel) of Ephrata, PA, ten other grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Dr. Roger L. Dalton (Joyce) of Easley. The family will receive friends at Geer Memorial Baptist Church in Easley on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 11 AM until 12 Noon with funeral services following at 12 Noon in the church sanctuary.
