James H Patten Jr.

He was born in Pickens County and was the son of the late James H. Patten, Sr. and Allie Naomi (Rholetter) Patten. He was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathy, daughter Joni (Jerome) Lathem, son Jimmy (Paula) Patten, daughter Judi Reeves (Scott Wyatt), sister Maxie Stancil, sister-in-law Dorothy Patten and many loving grandchildren, a great-grandchild, an expected great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, extended family and his devoted dog “Booger”. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 3:30PM, at Dillard Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13th.

Funeral services will follow at 3:30PM, in funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Hayes and Rev. Joe Farry.

Jim will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pickens, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 115 Crescent Hill Drive, Pickens, South Carolina 29671. The family is at the home.
