Mr. James J Holcombe

Mr. Holcombe was born in Anderson County, SC on April 27, 1932 to the late George and Maybelle Porter Holcombe. He retired as a tow truck driver for Mike Holcombe’s Automotive in Easley and enjoyed socializing with many of his friends and customers. Mr. Holcombe was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Holcombe is survived by his four children: James Michael Holcombe of Easley, Tony Lee Holcombe of Easley, Barry Bruce Holcombe of Easley, and Lorna Holcombe of Pickens; and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister: Mildred Whitmire of Pickens; a brother: Jack Holcombe of Easley; two step-daughters: Leslie Edwards and Becky Parker; and one step-son: Sammy Walters.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Thursday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pickens County Meals on Wheels: 349 Edgemont Ave. Liberty SC 29657.
