Born on March 26, 1947, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Howard and Irene James McJunkin. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and worked for several textile manufacturing companies including Alice Manufacturing and BASF. His love and passion was fishing and he enjoyed participating in fishing tournaments with friends. Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Brewer McJunkin; step-son, Travis Britt (Erin); three step-children, Sandy Foster (Donnie), Jimmy Turner (Patti), and Susan Garrison (David), and one special dog, Suzie.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie McJunkin, and his brother, Stanley McJunkin.
Services for Michael will be private, however the family will be at the home.
