Effie Lee O'Sheal Masters

Sunset – Effie Lee O’Sheal Masters, 94, widow of Clifford Henry Masters, passed from this life Thursday May 21, 2015 at Manna Health & Rehab in Pickens. Mrs. Masters was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Noah and Mattie Phillips O’Sheal. She was retired from Sangamo Electric Company after 25 years service. Mrs. Masters was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she taught the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class for 30 years. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Masters (Linda) of Sunset, and daughters, Blanche Markley of Myrtle Beach, Joyce Hunter of Pickens, Shirley Stone (Roy) of Easley, Elaine Henderson (Jackie) of Easley, and Susan Childress (Bob) of Charleston. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Masters was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda M. Few. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The family will receive friends Saturday at Dillard Funeral Home from 2 to 3:15 PM with a graveside service following at 3:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
