Edna was the wife of the late Edward L. Dillard. She enjoyed the simple life, loved to cook, and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dillard had a passion for teaching, and taught for many years at Pickens Presbyterian. She was very proud of her husband's heritage, as he was the grandson of James Thomas Dillard, the original owner of the 88 acres on both sides of the Pickens/Easley highway, which was developed into Hillcrest Memorial Park and the current location of Dillard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dillard is survived by two daughters: Teresa Lesley of Six Mile and Denise Youngblood (John) of Greenville; six grandchildren: Scott Boothe (Bethany) of Powdersville, Jeremiah Boothe (Lindsey) of Six Mile, Adam Boothe (Leah) of Seneca, Ashley Rhoden (Gary) of Duncan, Stephanie Padgett (Hunter) of Chapin, and Sara Youngblood of Greenville; 7 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Sybil Browning of Easley.
In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, Mrs. Dillard is preceded in death by her parents: Leo Cantrell and Bessie Bramlett Cantrell; three sisters: Helen Cantrell, Sara Cantrell, and Betty McKamey; and one son-in-law: Lonnie Lesley.
A private family service will be held.
