Anderson, SC – Mr. Doyle Kenneth Kelley, age 81, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 2, 2022. He was born in Pickens County, South Carolina and was the son of the late Claude Kelley and Mae Gillispie Kelley. He was a loving husband to the late Joyce Chapman Kelley.
Surviving are daughters Sonya Gould (Tom) of Anderson, South Carolina and Julie Cox (Chris) of Greenville, South Carolina. Also surviving are four precious and loving grand children Amelia and Lydia Gould and Bethany and Victoria Cox. Mr. Kelley has one surviving brother Forest Kelley and one sister Betty Merck.
Mr. Kelley was predeceased by two brothers J.B. and Clyde Kelley and one sister Nell Casenta.
Mr. Kelley worked his career as an electronics technician for several local manufacturing plants before his retirement. In retirement, he could be found in his workshop making anything out of wood especially furniture. He loved his woodworking, had an impressive green thumb and was gifted as a photographer. He was an avid Clemson Tiger baseball fan but most of all he enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina 29671. The family will be available to visit after the service.
