Mr. Boggs was born in Pickens on April 15, 1937 to the late William Levi and Jessie Mae Banks Boggs. He was twice married, first to the late Virginia Ferguson Boggs and then to the late Janie Newton Watson Boggs, and in his free time enjoyed being outside, especially with his horses and beef cattle. Mr. Boggs was truly a hard worker who spent his working career as a tool salesman, and he loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a man that would see a need and fill that need without anyone knowing it, always willing to help others out. He was very active in Gideon's International until his health declined, was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a member of Praters Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Boggs is survived by his three children: Carol Watson Dozier (Sam), Scott Watson (Teena), and Angela Bryant; his six grandchildren: Kathryn, Sam Jr.(Ashton), Alexandria (Josh), Austin(Brittany, Maggie(Keels), and Chloe, a brother: Tommy Boggs (Nan); and a sister: Martha Leslie.
In addition to his loving wives and his parents, Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by a brother: William Levi Boggs, Jr.
