Catherine Evans McAlister

Catherine Evans McAlister, age 78, of Pickens, South Carolina passed away on Friday June 8, 2018. Catherine was born in Pickens, South Carolina to the late Etta Caroline Lee Sutherland and James Benjamin Sutherland.

Catherine is survived by; son Gary Evans; daughter Peggy Evans; daughter Linda Mitchell; daughter Sheila Anthony; daughter-in-law Melissa Evans; son-in-law Ernest Mitchell ; Brother Robert Sutherland (Betty Lee) and Brother Elmer Sutherland. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren to share in her memory

Catherine was preceded in death by her spouse Lee McAlister and previous husband Buddy Evans; father James Benjamin Sutherland and mother Etta Caroline Lee Sutherland and two sons; Randy Evans and Larry Evans. She is also predeceased by four brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will Tuesday June 12, 2018 from 1pm until 2pm. A funeral service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at Mt Grove Baptist Church in Pickens.
