Marietta, SC - Mrs. Carolyn Roberta Newcomb, 88, loving wife of James Newcomb, passed away from this earth to go to her heavenly home on Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Mrs. Newcomb was born on March 24, 1935 in Leicester, NC to the late William Roy and Mildred Hayes Owenby. She enjoyed watching the Weather Channel and crocheting, but most important to her was her faith, as she read her Bible all the way through every year.
In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, Mrs. Newcomb is survived by a brother: John Owenby of Campobello, SC; two sisters: Nelda Webb of North Augusta, SC and her caretaker since she relocated from California 15 years ago, Edith Sherlin of Marietta, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
