Buddy Osborne Tipton

Buddy was born in Westminster, South Carolina on April 2, 1936 to the late Cecil and Ruby Richards Tipton. He was an outgoing and kind man who never met a stranger, and was well liked by all who knew him. Buddy enjoyed fishing and sports, especially Clemson Football. He worked as a Machinist most of his life and loved his job. Above all else, he loved Jesus and had a deep, personal relationship with Him.

Mr. Tipton is survived by two children: Buddy D. Tipton and Felecia K. Duncan; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Betty Lou Jones; and his loving furbaby: Gidget.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his wife: Kathrene Sheppard Tipton; two children: Roger Darrell Tipton and Theresa Lynn "Tret" Bates; and three siblings: Jean Isler, Harold Hawkins, and Van Tipton.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
