Born on November 7, 1944, in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Fred and Grace Dodgens Chapman. Bobby attended Maranatha Baptist Church and enjoyed working in his yard.
Surviving are his son, Bobby Jerald Chapman (Lynn), one brother, William Chapman and three sisters, Shirley Chapman, Mary Lou Dodgens and Eddie Olsen. Bobby also leaves behind six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all whom he loved dearly and enjoyed spending his time with.
Bobby is also predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne Gonzales, one son, Billy Joe Chapman, and seven siblings.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2019, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Todd officiating.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of the son, Bobby Chapman.
