Mrs. Audrey M. Smith

Mama Audrey Malinda Holcombe Smith, 82, wife of Cecil Smith, went home to be with The Lord Thursday, April 9, 2015. Mrs. Smith was born in Easley, a daughter of the late Rex and Bessie Chapman Holcombe. She was retired from the Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs (Better Skills). Mrs. Smith was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and The Adult Ladies Class and she was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Cecil Smith of the home, sons, Mike Smith (Jill) of Charlotte, NC, Rex Smith (Glenda) of Easley and Chris Smith (Cindy) of Sunset, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Thelma “Bunt” Gilstrap and Juanita Trotter both of Pickens. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 11 to 12 Noon at Holly Springs Baptist Church with funeral services following at 12 Noon with The Reverend Gerald Martin and The Reverend H. C. Couch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
