A couple months ago, I tried to find Pastor Beard and left a message on messenger, but he never responded. My name is Bob Pavey and we were ordained together at Union point camp. I don’t think I’ve had any contact with him since then. Now, a few weeks later I discover that he’s just passed away. So sorry to hear that. My condolences. I should have started looking sooner.
I’m 74 and I I am still pasturing in Islamorada, Florida at the Methodist Church but It’s probably retirement time for me. Blessings!

Dear Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Pastor Arnold's passing. Our family thought so much of Arnold. My Father was Rev. C.E. Carroll who held revivals for your Husband/Dad, while pastoring in NC.  I have pictures of them at the NC Transportation Museum. Reading the portion about antique cars brought back those memories of those photos. They had an awesome time that day!  My Dad was a prayer warrior with and for your Father. And now, our prayers are with you all as you grieve your earthly loss.  Heaven is now a little sweeter and grows a little fonder. I'm sure he and my Dad are walking the streets of gold arm in arm again and thanking the Lord for His goodness to them!  May God give you peace beyond measure!

The United States Air Force bonded many men for a lifetime. Reunions over the years allowed families to bond, too! What joy we shared. Now, the bonds are continuing in Heaven! Praise the Lord! What a reunion that will be when we all are together again!

Pat and I are praying for you and those Arnold loved. He was a dear friend to us both.  We loved much about him. From his laugh to his mastery of his West Virginia Southern Accent. Most of all his heart for Jesus and all those he met. 
Friends in heaven rejoice on his arrival, while those of us still running the race miss him.  I know we do. 
He loved you! He beamed when he talked about you. 

May the Lord continue to bless and keep you.

Buddy and I will truly miss Arnold's smile that seemed to shine brightest in the Country Santa Building every time he came. Arnold had a heart for this program and loved helping to sort and deliver toys to needy children. 
I can remember one year when he was hospitalized during the Christmas season. When Buddy went by to see him, Arnold was in tears because he would be missing the opportunity to come help us that year. It was one of his passions in life.
Arnold had a genuine love for people, and his ministry was to meet their needs in Jesus's name. I am quite sure he affected many lives through his ministry. It was truly a joy to know him. Buddy and I deeply appreciate all Arnold did to spread Christmas joy to those in need and for the sweet  friendship we both enjoyed with this wonderful man. He was a blessing to our lives.

Beard Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Arnold and Jean were amazing to my mother and me when my dad passed away ten years ago. True friends indeed. Arnold's friendship was treasured and will never be forgotten. He might have been the only person who loved the fourth of July more than me!  He will be as greatly missed as much as he was greatly loved in this life.

I will miss our dances and that sweet smile. He was my buddy!  Please know you’re always welcome to visit us.  Your family became a part of ours and so many other residents!

Dear Beard Family,
I have many fond memories of the Beard family--their friendliness and compassion for all.  Both Arnold and Jean were very welcoming to me when a newcomer to PVWC and continued that during my time there.  There is no telling the influence Arnold has had on any community where the family lived.  May the family feel God's arms of love surrounding and supporting them during this time of Arnold's passing!  I can just see Arnold rejoicing there among those friends and family who have gone before as thy explore the Heavenly realms.!

Arnold ( Dad) Gosh how we are going to miss you! I don’t know who I will call Dad now. You were the only person in my life worthy to be called Dad. You were one of the few people that cared enough about me  almost 40 years ago, to help me out of a really bad situation. I have always loved you for this. But, not just that! I loved it when no matter where you saw me you would raise your voice a couple octaves  higher and say, Hey girl, don’t you walk by and not give your dad a hug. For a few years your hugs were the only hugs I got. I will see you again, someday, that I am sure of! Maybe, I might hear you saying, hey girl,…. Come here and give me a hug and let me show you around Heaven. I love you!

Jena, I am so sorry to hear the loss of your father.  I always respected him as a pastor and a Veteran. I  always enjoyed his sermons and his presentation  of his sermons. He was a good person and friend. He will always be a person I have good memories . Again I so sorry for your loss.  Our country has lost a man and patriot. Also the Wesleyan church has lost a great minister.

Many years ago, Rev Beard came to Hortense, GA on two different occasions and served as our Pastor.  He was a very special person who showed true compassion for his church members and friends in the community.  It was an honor to have called him Pastor and friend. Pastor Arnold Beard became the pastor of Welcome Wesleyan Church when I was a young girl. He was such a blessing to me, my family, and the community.  He loved everyone.  He encouraged me as a young Christian and helped pray for me to go to Central Wesleyan (SWU). He continued to encourage and pray for me through the years. My love and prayers are with his precious family.
