Yves, my dear husband. You put up a brave fight.  In the end you did it your way, and I love you for that.  Thank you for our life we shared for 50 years! You are the greatest man I have ever known.  Your love and kindness to Jason and I meant the world to us.

I'm very sorry neither my wife nor I can be there today in person at Yves' memorial. Yves was truly valued and loved.  His personality was calm and encouraging and the wit that was sometime hiding below the surface was fun to see when it came out.  I truly appreciated his character - I could always count on him to do the the absolute best and right thing.

I am also very glad to have spent that personal time with him during his stay at Mayo.  I pray that time brought him peace and a sense that he was loved by many and by our creator God.

I pray for you and your son's peace and comfort as well in this truly difficult time of transition.  Please feel to reach out to me any time for any reason.
