Winnie Mae Wilson was born to Winne Mae and Oscar Paul Richey in Phoenix on July 28th, 1939. She was known to some as “Winnifred”. Winnie had 11 siblings. One brother and one sister, who are still alive today. Although she lived her life in Phoenix, Winnie loved to travel. She delighted in feeding the rabbits whenever she was on an adventure or just outside enjoying the day. Winnie could have been a beautician with all the haircuts she gave in her spare time. On occasion, she would paint and crochet to show off her artistic side. Winnie was devoted and enjoyed her employment at Arizona Livestock Auction for over 20 years until she retired. Then her life’s ambition was to enjoy her kids and grandkids. She relished in seeing their families grow. She was even blessed with many great grandkids to adore. Winnie loved to dance and could be found singing to herself as she made her way through life. Winnie was always ready and willing to help others. We believe she is celebrating heaven with her family who preceded her in death. Winnifred had an exciting eighty-one years’ earthly journey that came to an unexpected end on January 3, 2021. Winnie has 3 surviving children Jack Duane Wilson, Vanessa Charlene Dodd, and Johnny Lance Wilson, in addition to several grandchildren and great grandkids. She also left behind the father of her children; Jack Wilson Jr., her ex-husband.
