William Edwin Buntin

William (Bill) Edwin Buntin, 76, passed away after his fight with cancer on September 24th, 2024. He was born January 21st, 1948 in Tucson, Arizona to Schuyler Gavahn and Esther Mildred Buntin. While in Tucson he met the love of his life Patricia Anne Buntin and they were married on August 30th, 1968.

William served in the United States Air Force from 1968 until he was honorably discharged in 1972.

William attended the University of Arizona and obtained a bachelor in science in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. He became a CPA and worked for Touche Ross, Coopers & Lybrand, Kenneth Leventhal & Company, Valley National Bank, Bank One, and the Valley Metro Light Rail project in Phoenix,Arizona.

William never stopped being a student as he believed that knowledge was strength, and it was evident by his personal library. Although he was big in stature, he was tender hearted and considerate always noticing the needs of those around him.

William is survived by his wife, Patricia; their children Stephanie (Greg), Jason (Samantha), and Scott (Tara); grandchildren Katie, Ashlyn, Grant, Alora, Cody, Boomer, and Brenley great grandson, Miles and sister, Beverly Wilk. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024.
