Dear Aunt Betty,  
You and Uncle Bill have always been 2 of the most Big- Hearted, Compassionate and Loving people that I know. I'll never forget how fun I had in Las Vegas as a kid thanks to Bill! I loved all of the funny stories he would share and he always had everyone laughing. One of my favorite memories was when he took us to P.F. Changs for the first time and he introduced us to their amazing lettuce wraps! I'm blessed and grateful to have had such a cool uncle as Bill and I'll cherish those memories forever ♡

Uncle Bill,  You were always there to share a funny story or sing a funny song! You  could always make us laugh. You always had a way of making anything funny with your quick wit and humor! You will be so missed on this side of heaven but we will see you in a blink!  Love you Uncle Bill!

So hard to say goodbye to someone that has been such an important part of my life.  
 
Bill was always there for me to offer encouragement and support anytime I needed it.  
From time to time he was the enforcer brother who took on the role of following the household rules.  Once when our parents were out of town, I wasn’t allowed to have friends over.  My best friend Betty and I didn’t think too much of that rule so Betty came over most likely to listen to records and Bill found out.  He told Betty she needed to leave the same way she came in which through bedroom window.  Luckily for him she still dated him after that.
 
One of my happiest moments was on my wedding day when I was getting ready to leave for my honeymoon when Betty came up to me to tell that Bill told her they would be getting married next year.  What a gift that my best friend would become my sister.  
 
Bill was a devoted son to our mother when she became ill with dementia.  Bill and Betty left their home in Las Vegas to move in with our mother to help take care of her.  The 3 of us together managed multiple moves to different care homes.  We made frequent visits to the care home and took her to lunch and dinner at Carambas.  
Carambas is still a family favorite place to eat.
 
Bill will forever be missed by many but knowing he was welcome to Heaven by Jesus brings me peace and comfort.
 
Rest in perfect peace dear brother until we meet again.

I have so many. I would visit Betty and Bill nearly every summer. One of my memories is Bill,  Betty and I in their Jacuzzi in the evenings and Bill would tell endless jokes with a very professional delivery. I cherish those times visiting them.

Bill was a wonderful brother to me. We were born and spent our early childhood in the small town of Yuma, AZ. Bill was a caring brother, who spent time teaching me how to play football and baseball.
 
In Yuma, Bill enjoyed watching westerns on tv, including the “Rifleman” and “Wagon Train”. He would even dress like the cowboys he saw with a cowboy hat, boots and a western belt.
 
While I was in kindergarten, the family moved to Garden Grove, California. Bill initially was upset about leaving Yuma behind. Saying goodbye to his friends, and even giving away his cherished bike. However, he embraced the coolenss and culture of California quickly. He started wearing stylish Pendleton shirts. To my surprise, I later discovered the Beach Boys, were originally known as the Pendletons. Bill was always an early adopter on what was cool.
 
Our time in California was short, only 4 years, before the family uprooted to Phoenix, Arizona. Bill, once again, was disappointed about leaving California behind. However, he quickly adapted again, finding the joy in the desert where we would go dove hunting, only two miles from our house.
 
He was a big influence on my life, he taught me so much and I will forever remember his kindness and caring nature.  I will forever miss my big brother.

Dear Betty, 
I'm so sorry for the loss you are experiencing at this time.  
I remember Bill in your Brockmans' Leather shop located in The Alley of Metrocenter Mall, Phoenix, AZ. 
Bill was such a kind gentleman,  very peaceful presence, helpful and hard working. You and Bill figure importantly in my life at that time, as I was a young woman alone learning to operate my own small business. You two  operated your great shop so smoothly.  

I now hear your name at times when some long-timer ALLEY customers come into my current store location. When they say that they remember my store and that they also recall "Brockmans Leather store,"  my mind and heart go right back to those fond memories  and I can see  you and Bill in your shop directly across from mine ... 
Those were the days,  My Friend.

 May you Betty, find peace now in your sweet memories that you created  and enjoyed with Bill.  May God Always Bless You.

Betty, Here are some memories from back in the day from The Alley at Metrocenter.  Bill Brockman, the husband, the father, and the friend. He was always willing to jump in and lend a helping hand, or at least some advice! He was the first one to talk to Sarah and me about the availability of a location in The Alley for our Silver and Turquoise Jewelry Business. And when we decided to make the move and open up our store Bill and Betty put in a good word for us. We appreciated that so much!! This was the beginning of a very fun time in our lives! I have so many fond memories of great get~togethers with The Brockman’s!! Bill will be missed by everyone who had the fortune of getting to know him. I’m sure that in heaven he and his daughter are having a wonderful time and someday we will all join together again for a big reunion. You will forever more be remembered as the life of the party, Bill 🎉 😊 ~Ralph Schwab

Way back in 1970-something, a simple bond and friendship was formed between Bill Brockman and Bill Hardy. What a Blessing that was. Who knew that simple union would spawn countless other friendships. Who knew that we would all make memories so timeless and precious, and that those memories would become so significant. I am honored for every moment spent with Bill Brockman (Silly Billy). I’m honored that he loved me enough to tease me, that he felt inspired to write one of his silly songs about me (“Hey Little Sister is Your Big Sister Home”) and that he thought enough of me to give me my first job at Brockman’s Leather Company (he and Betty).  Bill was the king of comedy and the king of comfort, always able to make light of the most difficult situations (however inappropriately 😂).  Now, as we deal with the sadness of losing our dear friend…I hope that we can all pay homage to his legacy and find laugher in the difficult days ahead…just as he would want. On behalf of all of us we thank you for the sweet memories Billy.  We love you and we will miss you dearly. Until we meet again, Heaven is lucky to have you. -xoxo

Rest in peace Uncle Bill. I will always remember all the smiles you brought when we got to see you. I will always remember the oldies music that brought Bill peace. I loved how much they made me feel so comforted and safe when they played. Love you Uncle Bill!

There we many times that Bill really treated me like a little brother. He took me sailing at Lake Pleasant, camping and three wheeling up near Flagstaff, and introduced me to Natural Bridge outside Payson. He even included me in staying at the hotel there, when family and friends rented the place out and  took it over. I’ll have nothing but good memories of Bill because he was never anything but nice and loving, with that infectious laugh, to me.

His smiles, humor and ability to make us laugh never stopped, in spite of his health issues. He was always willing to sing or perform his thumb tricks to make us laugh and I will forever cherish the many hours we had together.
As I cared for my dad with Alzheimer’s , Betty and Bill spent several nights a week with us. Dad would light up the minute they walked in the door!  So much fun and I wish we would have had cell phones with cameras back then!!!
The love that Bill and Betty had for each other was beautiful and  we all know that she was the best caregiver ever-selflessly, she always put him before herself.  
A favorite memory was many years ago in Vegas at a Halloween party at their house.  He was having such a good time visiting with all of us.  Betty needed help for something while he was chatting and he turned to her and said “ I’m a little bit busy right now, Betty”!  I may not have this exactly right, and it doesn’t sound funny but for many years after that, if he didn’t want to do something, he would tell her that he was a little bit busy and we would all laugh.
He loved his magic thumbs and performing, and I have videos of it, but I’m not sure if I should post it on here or not. I bought him several sets of them, and we laughed and laughed and laughed with him as he performed.
Bill also continued to pray, even my most recent trip. His memory was not good, but he knew how to pray before meals, and thank Jesus for his blessings.
They have been, and will always remain in my heart as very special friends, and it’s a great comfort to know that he is now looking directly into the eyes of Jesus. No more pain but now he is rejoicing as he is reunited with Beth Ann and other loved ones.
Bill will be missed and we will keep his memory alive as we recall memories with Betty and family members. San Diego trips will not be the same but he would want everyone to still go there and have fun.
