Wendell confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.
He received his formal education in the Caddo Parish School District and graduated from Bethune High School, Class of 1963.
After graduating high school, Wendell moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked for Western Electric for many years. He later moved from California to Phoenix, AZ and continued employment at Western Electric until retirement.
On March 17, 2023, Wendell slipped into eternity to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish his memory: nieces, Pancie McMiller Fleming (Sollie), Cheryl Ann McMiller, and Irma McMiller Thomas (Dale), nephews, Terry McMiller, Jerry McMiller, Marvin Richardson (Kim), Jerry Bowman, Jr. (Ursula), Jerald Bowman, Kelvon Bowman (Rhonda), and Christopher Dixon.
As well as a dear friend, Irma Blake, caregiver for four years, and a host of other relatives and friends.
