Wallace Joseph Plante, 86, of Theodosia, MO, passed away on August 29, 2015 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. He was born on November 26, 1928 in Providence, RI, the son of William and Mary (Bellavo) Plante. Wally joined the United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. On October 7, 1950, he was united in marriage to Norma Jackson in Rhode Island. The couple had their first two children there before moving to Arizona in 1957, then came 3 more children to complete their family. Wally opened his own business, Ace Muffler, and ran it for the next 44 years with the held of his sons. He moved to Theodosia, MO, in the mid 1980's and helped one of his sons, Vic, operate their second shop there. For the next 15 years, Wally and Norma would spend half the year in Missouri, and half the year in Arizona. Norma passed away in February of 2001. Wally loved to spend time on the golf course where he developed several good friendships. Another love was going to the casinos. In every aspect of his life, one theme always stood out..... whatever you do, work hard!!!! Wally set a fine example for his family to follow. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. he was a Christian. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Wally is survived by four children: Vic (Jean) Plante of Theodosia, MO, Elaine Plante of White Plains, MO, Jeffrey (Paula) Plante of Payson, AZ, and Ronald Plante of White Plains, MO; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and one brother Bill Plante of Ohio. he was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Norma; one son Kenneth Plante; and two siblings Joan Whinery and Gary Plante.
