Suzie Guzman

SUZIE GUZMAN of Phoenix AZ passed away Sunday, November 1st 2015 She was born in Evansville IN, daughter to Gail and Eugene Johnston. Suzie spent most of her career working in TV. She worked for WDRB and WHAS in Louisville, KY and for 14 years at KTVK in Phoenix, AZ, before starting her own ad agency. Because of her generous nature, she loved to mentor women starting out in the advertising field. She was a fervent entrepreneur, winning an EMMY, a TELLY, and an International Golden Quill Award. Suzie truly lived life to the fullest. She was the life of every party, with a contagious laugh and quick wit. Suzie had a huge heart and was a fiercely loyal friend. She was loved by many but most importantly, she was a wonderful mother. Upon retiring, Suzie wanted to give back, so she became a CASA volunteer. She was incredibly passionate about her work with her CASA child and made a huge difference in her life. She loved her dogs and especially loved rescuing dogs that were hard to place.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gail Johnston, Father, Eugene Johnston, Sister, Jennifer Johnston, and Brother Jim Johnston.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Roth, Son in Law, Jack Roth, Brother, Butch Johnston, Niece, Dawn Mumm, Nephews, Rick Johnston, Jason Johnston, Jay Johnston, and Jeremiah Johnston.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 22nd at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway, Phoenix, AZ. At 3:00 PM.
