Steven Alexander Stewart, born March 5, 1981, in Reston, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona. His sudden passing was a shock to his family as he appeared healthy and strong right up to the minute he wasn’t.
Steven was a graduate of Arizona State University and the Phoenix College of Law. He was an unusual combination of smart and stubborn, jaded and optimistic, hard working and fun loving. He was sarcastic and fond of scathing humor. He was a diehard conservative and planned on making a million someday. He was the youngest of seven siblings. He loved his family and we loved him, despite his contrarian tendencies.
He is survived by his son with Selina Martinez Stewart, Alexander Harrison Stewart. Alexander is an exceptional young man. Steven was very proud of him, for good reason. Alexander looks to have gotten the best parts of both his father and mother. Like his father, his aunts and uncles are very proud of Alexander, who was an exceptional student and athlete, while at the same time being a kind young man.
Steven is survived by five siblings, Steve Clark Moss (yes, his parents named two children Steven to the frustration of both), Jon Paul Moss, Scott Carl Moss, Jennifer Pearl Stewart, and Stephanie Ann Stewart. He is preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Moss, and his father and mother, Steven Edward Stewart and Jane Ellen Stewart. He has numerous surviving nieces and nephews.
Steven was well loved and will be greatly missed.
