Steven Dale Chalfant, 67, of Phoenix, Arizona climbed the Stairway to Heaven on Tuesday June 20th, 2023, where he was united with many loved ones. He was born on Saturday, November 24th, 1956. Steven grew up in Burlington, CO and graduated from Burlington High School in 1975. He married Gwen Adolf on February 2nd, 1980, and began their family immediately. He moved to Colorado’s front range in 2003. In 2007, he moved to Phoenix, AZ where spent his last 15 years near his parents, Ann (Schaal) and Danny Chalfant. He completed his Motorcycle Mechanic Training at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in 2011 and pursued that passion to the end. Steven was a master of all trades from farming, construction, to mechanics. His main interests included anything with burning fuel, loud music, and spending time with the ones he loved. He liked watching and playing sports, especially football. He couldn’t contain himself from drumming his fingers, tapping his foot, or getting up to dance when a good song came on. Steven loved telling drawn-out stories and funny jokes. Always trying to make everyone smile. He enjoyed nature, and travelling, especially by motorcycle. Most of all, he loved his family, his Airedale Terrier Cilley, friends, and the Lord our Savior. He was a simple man, goofy, fun-loving, with a huge heart. Steven is survived by his parents, Ann & Danny Chalfant of AZ; children, Kirstan & Jake Adams, Linsey Chalfant, Luke Chalfant, and Matthew & Dana Chalfant; grandchildren, Harrison and Gwendalyn Chalfant, all of CO; siblings, Cindy & John Stewart, of CO, Danielle Chalfant, of CA, and Teena Desmarais; nieces Marissa and Nicolle Desmarais, of AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held in Colorado at a future date. For more information, visit Shadow Mountain Mortuary’s Website.
