Steve Szabo Sr.

Steve Szabo, 89, of Phoenix, AZ passed away in his sleep December 17, 2016. Born in Kruglacsa, Croatia, in 1927, Steve was the first of six children of Janos and Rosalia (Topos) Szabo. Of Hungarian heritage, the Szabos moved to Barcs, Hungary in 1936. Steve married his beloved wife Anna (Ibriks) and raised four sons. In 1968 Steve and his family escaped communist Hungary and immigrated to Somerset, NJ. After working 20 years, Steve retired from Johnson and Johnson and relocated to Phoenix. Steve's greatest joy was spending time with his family. His passion was fishing. Steve is predeceased by his wife Anna, and son Frank. Steve is survived by three sons, John (Maria), Steve (Karen), and Joseph (Elizabeth), 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Steve will be interred at Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale, AZ.
