At the age of four she decided to change her name to Stephanie Angeline Liggins because of the love she had for her stepfather, James E. Liggins. She was quite a happy child who developed beyond her age and was the perfect eldest sibling to her 3 brothers and one sister, whom she often cared for.
Stephanie excelled in her primary education within the Lancaster School District; earning her high school diploma from Antelope Valley Highschool in 1991. Even though Stephanie began battling with health issues at 17 years old; she remained cheerful and always had a positive outlook on life. From the age of 16 she consistently worked various jobs in retail customer service but found her passion as an in-home care giver to the sick and disabled for several years. Her passion to help people propelled her to get a bachelor’s degree in Social Services from the University of Phoenix in 2011.
Stephanie accepted the lord at a very early age at the Antelope Valley Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Grover L. Talley, and Evangelist Missionary Helen Talley, her loving grandparents who proceeded her in death. Stephanie served the Lord all her life and finally landed at the Restoration Community Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Reggie and Annie Doughty.
After relocating to Phoenix, Arizona in 2010, Stephanie’s declaration of faith “I’m walking in my healing” came to life on March 8th, 2012 she received a kidney transplant and then married her “Boaz” Charles E. Johnson on October 27th, 2013. Stephanie & Charles lived a life that was filled with love for each other and dedicated to Christ until her passing on August 3rd, 2020.
Stephanie leaves to mourn her husband Charles E. Johnson, her mother Deborah Talley Williams (Albert Williams), father David Foutch (Lotti Foutch), brothers Jonathan, James, and Leland Liggins, only sister Ruthymae Liggins-Phillips, 9 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nephews 2 great nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
