Sonia is survived by her husband, Antonio Cortez; children, Cristian Saprissa, Douglas Cortez, and Jennyfer Cortez.
Over the years the couple welcomed 3 children into their home and Sonia raised them with love and devotion. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
She was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved her family and dogs. She loved music, cooking, spending time with her family, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with a side of pupusas. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of the family.
Sonia will always be remembered as a selfless, and humble individual. A mother who always had a smile on their face even when times where tough. She was a strong individual. She never complained and always looked to a better future.
Funeral Services will be held on January 22,2021 at 10:30am at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ.
