Russell William “Bill” Hawk, a retired Honeywell (General Electric) employee, died on August 4, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born in Indiana in 1935 and moved to Arizona in 1959 for employment at GE. He was a very involved community leader in Maryvale with Pop Warner, Boy Scouts, Indian Guides, Little League, and a school board member at the Cartwright Elementary School District for over 12 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Deanne, son Tim, daughters Tracy and Heidi, stepdaughters Shelly and Shannon. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and former wife Norma.
Bill had a great passion for hiking the Grand Canyon, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, traveling, and life at its fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix AZ 85027 on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 12pm to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
