Rosey was born on December 10, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Valencia and Granada elementary schools and graduated from Alhambra High School in 1979. She worked for many years at American Express where she mastered their word processing programs. In spite of living with a life-long debilitating degenerative disease, Rosey was high-spirited, funny, determined and lived every day to it’s fullest. She was a loyal and generous friend. She would remember her friends’ birthdays and anniversaries, and their children’s birthdays. She would often give presents to the kids. Rosey was well-liked in her gated community. Neighbors would stop by regularly to say hi and chat as Rosey sat outside enjoying the sun and fresh air. She definitely loved the sun. She loved decorating the front yard for Christmas and won a community award in 2021. She cared for a couple of the feral cats in the neighborhood, spaying and neutering them at her own expense. Rosey was instrumental in bringing together her nephew and his new wife, who was a resident in the community. Many of her neighbors stayed in touch with her as her condition deteriorated and that contact meant so much to her.
Rosey was preceded in death by her father Joseph, mother Isabelle and brother Nick. She is survived by her sister JoAnne and her husband Rick, brother Joseph and his wife Patty, nephew Daniel and his wife Kristen, and nephew Matthew. Rosey wanted to be remembered in life, so she requested no services. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley in remembrance of her, as they were of great comfort to her and our family in those most difficult final months.
