Rosemary Lillian Braun

Rosemary L. Braun, age 89, of Phoenix, passed away August 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her sisters; Geneva and Lucille. Prior to marrying Charles Braun in June of 1942, she worked in a munitions factory during WWII. Charles was inducted into the military in February of 1943 about one month before the birth of their first child. Rosemary and Charles later owned the meat department at a grocery store in Pasadena, CA after the war, until 1957. She worked as a waitress and hostess during the late 50's and early 60's. During her life she mostly took care of her family. She is survived by her children, Michael and Craig, grandchildren, Gabriel, Barbi, Suzi and Heather, and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Tanner, Breanne, Brittney, Davyn Jr., Myranda and Madison. The family will receive friends at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. Phoenix, on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 from 7-8 pm, with a Rosary Service to follow at 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul in her honor.
