Born on September 9, 1951, Rosie and her two younger sisters grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Rosie graduated from Alhambra High School and went on to ASU for college. College was interrupted for an extended period of time due to her true love, Bob. Rosie and Bob were married June 17, 1972, which began a rich and love-filled life for 49 years. They raised two children, Ryan and Renee. Rosie raised a few more children by always welcoming her children’s friends in and entertaining them. Her gift of giving and sharing love was never ending.
Life for Rosie included many moves due to Bob’s work, which saw the family living in parts of Arizona, California, Colorado, and Michigan. While in Michigan, Rosie finally had her opportunity to finish college at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She continued in her career of interior design and decorating. She loved vivid colors, bright florals, and holiday decorations. Most notable of all was her Christmas decorating that included a vibrant Dickens Christmas Village.
The Westerly migration for the family took Rosie through Colorado then back to Arizona, where she focused on some work and more home activities. After retiring from the working world, Rosie began vegetable gardening, dog training, puppy rearing and a host of other new activities, one of which that was most important to her was being the acting foreman in the construction of her dream home, ensuring she had her ideal quilting room. Quilting became her new passion in life.
Rosie loved to entertain, cook, travel, quilt, garden, and loved to play with her dogs and puppies. Rosie was very caring, giving and nurturing to everyone she had the pleasure of meeting. Rosie was known for her kindness, loving spirit, love of all things Goofy and all things that included apples, and a beautiful smile that could light up a room. Rosie was rosy.
