“On November 21, 2024, the Lord called Rose Marie Lopez home and reunited her with her beloved husband, Nick. Born on August 29, 1940, Rose was the youngest child of Fructoso and Hilaria Meza. She was married to Nick R. Lopez and had one child, Nicholas William. She worked as the school Librarian at St. Catherine of Siena Grade School. Friends and neighbors knew that they were always welcome at the Lopez household, where Rose would whip up a hearty meal for all those who asked. Many a neighborhood child was “adopted” into the family and were loved by her.
She leaves behind her beloved son Nicholas, her sister, Hortencia and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick, her brothers Hilario, Jose and Robert and her sisters Alejandra and Francisca.
Services are currently scheduled for January 17, 2025 at Crosier Village 717 E. Southern Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85040. Further details to come.
