Ronald Darrel Raymond

Ronald "Ron" Raymond, 75, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in Three Rivers, Michigan, on August 24, 1946, to Daniel James and Helen Louise (Ely) Raymond, both deceased.

Following graduation from Cortez High School, in Phoenix, Arizona, Ron started his own business, Complete Furniture Service. He repaired, refinished, and restored anything wood. At times he worked for other companies such as J.C. Penneys and Montgomery Wards, but mostly he worked in his own company servicing many furniture stores in the Phoenix area.

Ron was married to his wife, Yvonne Marie (Hicks) Raymond, for 57 years, and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Allen Jess Raymond and Alicia Ann (Bobby) Stidham-Watkins; as well as grandchildren Austin Watkins, Emily Wilson, Brianna (Eli) Chambers, Amber Stidham, Cassie Watkins, Beau Watkins, Aubrey Stidham, and Desi Stidham, and great granddaughter, Autumn Chambers. Ron is also survived by his siblings; Gary (Betty Ann) Raymond and Linda (David) Anderson and one nephew, Adam Raymond and two nieces, Adrianne (Terry) Lynch, Tina Taylor Brown.

Ron had a great love of people and wanted to bring them happiness. He was always planning big parties with food, games and prizes, or simple gatherings to play cards. He organized camping trips and vacations for large groups or just family. He shared his love of woodworking and repairs by fixing furniture or doing home repairs for friends and family. He was an avid gardener at home and helped others to plan and create gardens at their homes. Ron's special love was music and dancing, especially Square Dancing and Line Dancing.

A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1835 E. Missouri, Phoenix. Burial will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009
