On November 9,1999 Robert was born to Loretta Chaney and Robert Young, Sr. Thirteen years later, he was blessed with parent number three, Kemberlyn Chaney. His parents loved him fiercely and with their help he went on to graduate from Clover Park High school in Lakewood, Washington.
Growing up, Robert was both athletic and handy. He found his love for the military early on, excelling in ROTC and Raiders while also being a talented wrestler and javelin thrower. He was a great friend to many. Once he graduated from high school, he enlisted into the Army. He served overseas in Afghanistan where he fell in love with his beautiful wife Linda. After marriage, he continued his military career making lifelong connections as he climbed up the ranks to Sergeant.
Robert and Linda went on to have two beautiful little boys. Even while being a full-time husband and father, he made time to coach high school track & field, stay up late playing video games with his brothers and show up to every single game night. With any other free time, he and Linda loved to be in the kitchen, trying new recipes and preparing delicious meals. This will forever be missed.
Robert was a magnificent family man. Even with his family sprinkled from coast to coast, he made sure everyone knew how much he loved them and he was only ever a phone call away if anyone needed a hand. He was an amazing combination of goofy and country. You’d find him on the couch laughing at funny videos one day and out in the sunshine fishing the next. The city boy in him exuded swagger and charm, while his country roots kept his respect and loyalty stronger than ever.
He leaves behind a huge family. He is survived by his parents Loretta, Robert and Kemberlyn; wife Linda Rangel, children Julian and Mason Young and siblings Brandon, Joseph, Amma, Ryan, Jordan, Karrington, Krystchen, and Khassidy. He was also an amazing uncle to Xavian, Carter, Kaelin and Cammeron.
His close family and friends would always joke with him about his huge hands, but the size of his hands could never compare to the size of his heart.
