Robert Clinton Thomas

Robert (Bob) Thomas, was born on December 16, 1937 in Phoenix to Nadene

Moss Thomas and James (Tommy) Thomas, the youngest of four children. His

three siblings were Alvie Thomas (deceased), William Thomas (deceased), and

Marion Frances Langley (deceased). Bob is survived by his nephews James E

Strickland Sr, Mark Thomas and his niece Laura Thomas. Bob’s beloved animal

companions over the years included his dogs Rusty, DJ and most recently Chipper.

Bob graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1956, the same high school all

of his siblings attended. Bob’s career was spent as a state government employee

at the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office. Bob lived in Arizona his entire life in the

same neighborhood where he grew up.

One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was going to Goodwill hunting for those treasures

of fine crystal, sterling silver, jewelry, and other collectible items. Bob’s longtime

friend Kent Bartschi often accompanied him on these treasure hunts as well as his

nephew James.

Robert Thomas passed away on February 9, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona with his

nephew James at his bedside.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on

Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00pm – 2:00pm located at 719 N 27th Avenue,

Phoenix AZ 85009.
