Robert E. Stone

Robert “Bob” Edward Stone of Glendale, AZ was born on June 19, 1932. He was a graduate of White Fish Bay High, WI in 1950. Bob went on to spend 44 years in printing with companies like Brown, WA Krueger and Associated Litho. Bob was passionate about sports. He didn’t miss a football, basketball, baseball, gymnastic, softball or volleyball game of his kids or grand kids. He would always cheer them on, share his opinion (which might have gotten him in trouble with coaches and officials) and maybe even removed from a few games here or there. One thing the kids knew is that he believed in them. He himself played football, baseball and golf. Bob would jog the high school track every day. He loved to hunt with his kids, grandkids and buddies. Bob married Georgine Iverson in 1959. They remained together for almost 63 years until his death on January 23, 2022. Together they raised 3 children, Carrie, Craig (Jill) and Dean (Julie), 10 amazing grand children (Leslie (Byron), Justin (Sheri), Sydnie, Jordan (Nolan), Sarah (Matt), Missy (Michael), Kristin (Beau), Katie, Emily and Shane, and was blessed with 8 great grandchildren (Lillie, Kennedy, Gwenyth, Easton, Kai, Reagan, Emery and Kayden). Preceded in death are his parents Alfred and Margaret Stone and sister Audrey Lavender. Bob was a long time member of the All Saints Episcopal Church. Services will be held on Friday, February 4th at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022. Visitation is from 10:00am-12:00pm with services immediately following. Entombment will be a private family ceremony. Celebration of life will continue after service.
