Robert William Parent, 62, passed away June 30, 2017 in Chandler, Arizona. He was born August 26,1954 in Lima, Ohio to Milton Richard and Jean Ann (nee Walsh) Parent. The family moved to Arizona in 1963 where Bob graduated from McClintock High School. He was a machinist for many years at Garrett Aerospace, Allied Signal and Honeywell. He even went on to teach machinist skills to others as a teacher at Gateway Community College. Bob had attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel catholic church for many years. Bob was also involved in the Vocational Clubs of America and volunteered for Skills USA to help teach vocational skills and to ensure his country has a skilled workforce.Bob was generous, fun loving person who touched many people’s lives. He loved music, sports and helping people, especially kids. He loved going to concerts and collecting picks, set lists, drum sticks and memorabilia from the shows. He was an Arizona Cardinal fan and season ticket holder. Bob was always one to take charge of a situation, he always had a plan for anything that you would do with him. He was an old school kind of guy, he saved paper copies of everything, didn’t use the internet for bills and didn’t have a cell phone. He still has a collection of dozens of 8 track tapes and had every paystub spanning his entire work life. Bob is preceded in death by his father and mother, Sisters Linda and Mary and brothers Joseph, Eddie and Billy. Bob is survived by brothers Mike, Tom, Jim, John, Tim, Danny, David and Rick. Services will be held July 4, 2017 with Visitation from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. and Funeral services immediately following at 12 p.m., arrangements entrusted to Resthaven/ Carr Tenney Mortuary, 602-437-0436.
