Robert Ward Murdock

Robert W. Murdock 87 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Wednesday February 2, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Robert was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 9, 1935 to Vera Mae (Holman) Murdock and Ray Ross Murdock. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachlors degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961, was president of the Optimist Club in Alpena, Michigan, was a member of the Free Masons for 40 years and involved in Boy Scouts for over 40 years. He loved leather working, refinishing furniture, working on cars, and spending time with family. Surviving him is his brother James Murdock of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Candace Stillman (her husband, Richard Stillman) of Phoenix, Arizona; son Rustin Murdock (his wife, Cynthia Murdock) of Neustudt on der Weinstrasse, Germany, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 (and another on the way) great great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Vera and Ray Murdock, his first wife of 40 years, Camille June Murdock and his second wife of 25 years Susan Ruth Murdock.

A celebration of life was held Saturday February 5, 2022, at the United Methodist Church in Ossineke, Michigan and Unity of Phoenix February 6, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona.
