Bob is greatly missed. :(  He was a grandfather to me and to  my children, and a great voice of wisdom.  I miss his sour face that couldn't hide the twinkle and laugh in his eyes...I think he liked to pretend he was grumpy...but when he smiled he lit up the room. He entertained us constantly with his great stories and memories, but more than anything I know he loved the Lord and his wife- he has a special place in my heart, and in the stories I will tell my children. This picture is the last day that I saw Bob.  We both knew it would probably be the last time we would see each other.  I can't wait to see him again in Heaven... "I Can Only Imagine."

Well it's time to close this book and say "Thank you" to all our family and friends. Bob is always with me and while I am living a life of service, I will always remember our special times. Our birthdays at Disneyland and anniversary dinners with the family and the 4th of July in Long Beach. We had a full life together and I am so blessed to know that we will be spending eternity together as well. Love you babe.

Was a great friend. Gave me my first job when I moved to AZ in '97. Stayed friends after we both left the co. We golfed, bowled and went to dinner together. Miss him greatly.

Over a year has passed and my heart still aches with grief. You're missed by so many as you watch over us all. So many unanswered questions, places we missed seeing together. But, oh the memories! Your smile will always shine on my face, your love and support I still feel today. You will always be my Hero.

One year ago the world lost a great man. He was my Grandfather, the man he took me to the Marine recruiters officer when everyone was pulling me in the other direction. He was a Vietnam Veteran and we became brothers in arms. He was one of the few people that I could sit with and we never had to even speak, he would set his hand on my shoulder and it felt like all of the pain in my heart would just come flooding out of me. When I was in Afghanistan, he was never more than a phone call away, he was there for me through it all to mentor and guide me, and I had the good fortune to get to know him in a way that not many did, as my brother in arms, and he was one of the greatest men to walk the earth. I know that he is in a much better place, and his fight is over now. I'll see you again when I report for duty upstairs big man, just make sure you're the Staff Duty that day Gunny!!!!

I have so many memories from cars to football tuogh me how to throw and He gave me a place to stay came to my graduation from boot and did not make fun of me for working a Disneyland but my regret is acdetle staring a fire in the house I am so so sorry to this day I have not for give myself for that I am so grateful for all that he taught me and I miss him he was a dad to me love you all Russ Rusty voght

Dad, I miss you so much in this holiday season.

I was so blessed to be invited to be a part of this wonderful family.  Pop, mom and the whole brood just opened their hearts to me and uplifted mine.  Miss pop so much, love you all so much.  I am so thankful for all of you.

It's Thanksgiving Eve and my mind is in Dad.  How I miss him.  I remember getting up with him early every Thanksgiving morning to help him with the preparation of our turkey.  While he was busy at the stove, I was busy at the cutting board.  Chopping onions and celery for the stuffing.  I loved this time with my Dad. Thank you Dad for teaching me how to prepare the perfect turkey for Thanksgiving. I miss you so much.  I love you, Chery

I loved my grandpa so much that when i found out i was so sad that he had died. R.I.P grandpa. We all miss u.

I remember Uncle Bob and Aunt Thelma taking me to Disneyland with Webster when we were teenagers. Uncle Bob gave me his jacket to wear over my own when I was still cold while waiting for the evening parade and fireworks.  He was a true gentleman.  I am encouraged by his faithfulness to God, family, and country and I look forward to seeing him again in heaven one day.

I remember being in the Easter play with Bob we had so much fun.  Every Sunday Bob always had a smile and a great big hello. .BOB will be truly misses.  Until we see each other  Heaven. .

I never met Bob, though I know his wife, Thelma, from school.  My memory is based on pictures I've seen of them together.  Pictures show a loving couple enjoying life and each other's company.  My favorite is the one in their Mr. & Mrs. Claus outfits. Oh, and the old photos at Disneyland!  Bob, I know you will be missed.

I don't remember meeting Bob at pfa, but I saw him again at the church on 9th ave and Woodlawn and recognized the same spirit I'd met before. Bob was a gruff teddy bear. He shared his recipe with us for some great chili that day. We miss Bob, but Thelma is with us to keep his memory alive. Love you Thelma :-)

When I arrived in Viet Nam as a dumb 2nd Lt. I was grateful to have Bob around. He was an outstanding Gunny and had my complete respect. I learned of Bob's passing while on vacation in South America and was deeply saddened. He kept the fight to himself. I had no idea he was sick and we had been corresponding by email for a number of years. It's particularly sad since he is probably the last of our Bridge Company staff NCOs to pass. I loved Bob as a brother in Christ and some time father figure. I enjoyed our talks so much when we'd meet. We shared our time at Easter doing pageants at the church. What a great memory! We sang in choir for a few years together as well. You could tell that he loved his family so much. It was a blessing to be a part of his life and for him to be a part of mine. Well done my friend. See you again someday in Glory.

Many wonderful memories of Bob and the Moyle family taking care of me growing up in Pennsylvanialove to you all. Rest in peace Bob...I was unable to pay my respects in Arizona but you are forever in my thoughts.

So few love the United States Marine Corps as much as Gunny Moyle. I will never forget his genuine happiness when he came to Miramar and was "back in his element" I'm so happy that I was not only lucky to meet him but I was also privileged to hear some of his stories and talk about the USMC that I also love. 
Please take care of the other Marines up there who are no doubt....causing chaos!

Thelma- My Heart has been heavy for you and your family and want you to know how much you are loved and how I am keeping you in my prayers! What a wonderful legacy Bob left. He was a very special and dear man! I loved meeting you both in PFA choir and then in the Christmas shows! I am sending my love and prayers of peace your way!  I feel I am a better person that God would place you and Bob in my life through church. I'd always prayed that God would place people in my life who loved the Lord so much and reflected his love and grace. You and Bob are just that! Cannot wait til we all meet up in the air real soon! Love you very much my friend!

It has been said that you can choose your friends, but not your relatives. My sister chose Bob to be my relative, I am proud that he was my friend!

I remember in2007 it was Christmas my dad died he was 87 I was feeling bad Bob says to me what is wrong Mac. I told him he said did he know the Lord I said yes. He said well why be sad he is in a better place get over iit. Then with tears in his eyes he hugged me and said I love you.

It was our privilege to know Bob and honor him with your family and the Marine Corps yesterday.  Thelma and family members, you honored Bob well in life and at his passing.  Please receive our love, prayers, condolences, best wishes and blessings.  While you have lost your beloved hero, Bob also loved, mentored and prepared each of you for your new and important roles of leadership.  What a life and legacy and light to follow through life to eternal life!

My love and prayers to all those that this wonderful man  touched in their lives.  He as quick with a smile, and encouragement.  He listened to you when you came to him with a problem or hurt.  I wish I had been able to be in the life of this family more.  They all touched my heart so deeply.  These are incredible people.  This father definitely raised his children with love.  He is the dove that flies to meet his Father in Heaven,  he carries the blessed and peaceful heart.  I know he will be keeping an eye on all his loves...  Until all are united together again. .. When ours chores are done here.
