Bob was born on February 11, 1933 in Stanley, Kansas to William Harold "Pappy" and Irene Marks. He was raised by his loving grandparents Sampson & Goldie Ripatoe.
Bob married Barbara House in 1951, and they were married 50 years until Barbara passed away in 2002. Bob is survived by three children Michael, Larry, and Linda; four grandchildren Stephanie, Luke, Xena, and Sasha; and three great-grandchildren Jesse, Jose and Jasmine.
Bob was in the U.S. Air Force 27 years, and he retired as an E-8 Senior Master Sergeant. He was a Sheet Metal Specialist, repairing and maintaining airplanes. During his military service, he lived in many places including New York, South Korea, Kansas, England, Ohio, Missouri, Japan, California, Texas, Illinois, Thailand, and Vietnam. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1978, he moved to Phoenix, AZ.
Barbershop Quartet singing was one of the joys of Bob's life, and he was also played an alto saxophone at Olathe High School.
Bob was a born again Christian and was actively involved in church ministry, including Grief Share leadership and the Bulletin Ministry. Bob gave generously to people in need.
A private family entombment service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix and will be placed head-to-head with his wife Barbara in a above the ground Crypt.
